if death has taught me anything
it is this...
appreciate the little things
for the little things add up to
very big things
tight squeezes from that one person
three hour chats while doing dishes
these moments
are how i fell in love
with my family
game nights + chinese food
watching them find love
+ raise babies
death taught me how to live
like every moment is special
because every moment is special
each second holds value
the way the light hits fall leaves
or kids splashing in puddles
or friends fighting to pay for coffee
these are the moments you don't remember
until it's too late
so i hold onto them
i cling tightly
so as to never forget
the beauty in that
one quiet moment.
